This e-learning programme provides a comprehensive overview of the core knowledge and key components required to take responsibility for the effective maintenance of primary care finance systems within a practice or group of practices.

It will provide a baseline for anyone in an administrative or management role within primary care who already has limited involvement with finance and accountancy management and wants to expand their knowledge in order to extend their responsibilities.

In this 2021 updated version, our team of researchers has summarised the latest information affecting General Practice finance, ensuring you are up-to-date with all the changes and signposting you to the most recent publications affecting your practice.

If you have subscribed to this programme in the last 12 months you will have access to the new format and will be sent a revised link. As part of PMA’s Support and Update package, you can extend your access for £49.00 per year.

The updates include:

• GP Contract changes for 2021/22
• The Kickstart Government Scheme and how it can help practices
• Updated HMRC tax and NI rates for 2021/22
• Using the TRS Portal
• Update on PCNs including the revised Network Contract DES, the ARRS Fund and the Investment and Income Fund

This programme consists of 8 modules. It is estimated that each module will take 1-2 hours to complete. The modules are:

This is a flexible, online programme ideal for Level 3 and above. Level 2 in numeracy and basic IT skills are recommended.

A range of formats and learning methods will be included including case studies, interactive exercises and worksheets and knowledge checks.
