PMA PROFESSIONAL MEMBERS’ WEBINAR

Authentic Voice – Victims and survivors of domestic abuse – why system working makes a difference

To truly transform the response to domestic abuse, we must place the experience of survivors at the heart of everything we do. This 1-hour webinar session, brought to you by SafeLives, will be led by one of their experts with lived experience turning their experience of domestic abuse and viewing this through a system lens to identify the gaps and opportunities that would have made a difference in their own journey.  By listening and responding to views that are different to our own, professionals and survivors can critically assess and address challenges together. We will discuss the ways in which professionals can embed survivor voice and lived experience into system and service design processes in a high quality, sustainable way. Helping decision makers see how meaningful change can be achieved and through living examples have access to and evidence of hearing from diverse voices of people with lived experience.
