CQC Framework and Compliance in General Practice

This workshop will explore the Care Quality Commission (CQC) framework and how practices can prepare for assessments, inspections, and ongoing compliance requirements. Participants will develop an understanding of the CQC strategy, assessment processes, and the key regulations and standards that practices need to meet.

The session will cover Quality Statements, ratings and scoring, evidence gathering, and documentation, while highlighting common areas of focus during assessments and inspections. It will also consider practical ways to demonstrate compliance and evidence the quality of care provided within a practice.

Objective:

Participants will gain a better understanding of CQC requirements and the assessment and inspection process. They will develop greater confidence in preparing evidence, understanding Quality Statements, and demonstrating compliance, helping to support continuous improvement and the delivery of safe, effective, and high-quality care.
