This module provides an overview of the key HR and employment law responsibilities of Practice Managers, helping participants build confidence in managing people, supporting performance, and maintaining legal compliance. 

Topics covered include:

• Employment law updates 
• Working at scale, TUPE, and redundancy 
• Managing changes to contractual terms 
• Safer recruitment and candidate selection 
• Equality, diversity, inclusion, and preventing discrimination 
• Performance management and providing effective feedback 
• Disciplinary procedures, dismissals, and the ACAS Code 
• Managing grievances and workplace conflict 
• Capability processes, sickness absence, and return-to-work management 

By the end of the module, participants will have a clear understanding of employment law requirements and practical HR approaches to support effective workforce management, employee wellbeing, and organisational performance.
