December 8 @ 09:30 – 14:00
Train the Trainer
This interactive four-hour online workshop is designed for healthcare professionals who are looking to develop their skills and confidence in teaching, training and supporting colleagues. It recognises that having knowledge and expertise in a particular area does not necessarily mean having the skills needed to share that knowledge effectively with others.
The workshop will explore the principles of adult learning and the behaviours and techniques that make an effective trainer. Participants will develop their understanding of different learning styles, communication approaches and how to structure engaging training sessions that help learners build knowledge and retain information.
The session will cover planning and delivering effective teaching sessions, coaching and mentoring on a one-to-one basis, and providing constructive feedback. Through interactive activities and practical exercises, delegates will have the opportunity to explore their own communication and teaching styles, practise new skills and gain real-time feedback in a supportive learning environment.
Objective:
Participants will develop the knowledge, skills and confidence to deliver effective training and support the development of others in the workplace. They will gain a better understanding of how adults learn, how to adapt their approach to different learners, and how to plan and deliver engaging teaching sessions. The workshop will also help delegates develop their coaching, mentoring and feedback skills, supporting more effective learning and professional development within healthcare teams.
