Building on the success of our Level 2 Certificate, this Advanced Certificate continues to be developed around the 8 core competencies of the 4-tier framework for a career pathway for the non-clinical health and social care workforce developed by Our Healthier South East London (OHSEL).
NHS England and Health Education England both support significant elements of the PMA e-learning programme so you can be assured that it embodies best practice and is mapped to support the initiatives laid out in the NHS Long Term Plan.
This programme will consist of 7 core modules each comprising of several units under the following areas and will take a blended learning approach.
1.Ethical practice
2. Effective communication
3. Managing Information
4. Protecting patients
5. Motivating and supporting skills
6. Organising and networking skills
7. Self-awareness
Assumed knowledge of the Level 2 competencies will be expanded and challenged and personal growth will be encouraged. As with the Level 2 programme, developments and new ways if working and collaborating within health and social care, as outlined within the NHS Long Term Plan, will be incorporated.
The programme will include a range of learning methods and devices with a proportion of the programme revolving around reflective learning activities, personal research and discussion with a programme mentor.
